Brightfield Admissions

Terms, privacy and safeguarding

The boring but necessary page. It is short, and it is written plainly rather than in legal language, because you should be able to read it.

Who you are dealing with

Brightfield Admissions is me, Flora Kozma, working as a sole trader. There is no agency and nobody else on the other end of the email. You can reach me at brightfieldadmissions@gmail.com.

What I cannot promise

Nobody can promise you a place at a university, a grade, or an interview, and I would be careful with anyone who implies otherwise. What I am selling is teaching and honest feedback. If I do not think I am the right person for what you need, I will say so and point you elsewhere.

Your privacy

I am the data controller for anything you send me.

What I collect. Your name, your email address, and whatever you choose to tell me, usually your school year, your predicted grades and the course you are aiming at. If we work together, I keep notes on sessions and the work you send me.

Why. To reply to you, to send you any free resource you asked for, and to teach you if you become a student. If you ticked the box asking for them, I will also send occasional emails about ESAT preparation.

Who else sees it. My forms run on Tally, my email runs on Google, and the interview-guide sign-up runs on Kit. All three hold data on my behalf as processors. Nobody else. I do not sell or share your details, and I do not pass them to other tutors or agencies.

How long I keep it. Enquiries that do not turn into work are deleted after two years. Records for students I have taught are kept while we are working together and for a reasonable period afterwards, in case you come back or need a reference.

What you can ask for. A copy of what I hold, a correction, or deletion. Email me and I will do it. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing does not affect anything else. If you think I have handled your data badly and I have not put it right, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Safeguarding

Most of the people reading this are between 15 and 18, so this matters.

Anything here unclear?

Ask me. If a term seems unreasonable, say so. It is a one-person business and I would rather fix it than have you sign up unhappy. brightfieldadmissions@gmail.com
